Improving connections and road traffic so as to make Pineto a safe city. These were some of the reasons that led RFI, in conjunction with the City Council, to build a series of underpasses that changed the face of the Abruzzo seaside town.
The interventions also allowed new opportunities for urban and economic development to be launched, such as the bicycle and pedestrian underpass of Villa Fumosa, or the structure built near the Poets district, an expanding area. It is, in fact, the largest underpass on the Adriatic coast, measuring 5 mt in height, which crosses the State Road and the railway line.
